Jeremy and June Astfalck have been in the Antique business since the late 1980's, dealing primarily in silver.

Jeremy is a silversmith with years of experience in repair and restoration of fine silver.
He is also one of South Africa's leading silver dealers and specialises in the more unusual aspects of silver collecting. Silver by the top masters and items of a unique nature are a speciality.

June works behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation of the business. This includes running the web-site and ensuring that the quality of information provided on each item for sale is of the highest standards.

The Old Corkscrew Shop - Franschhoek

In 1994 Jeremy and June opened The Old Corkscrew in Franschhoek, a picturesque town which is nestled in the Winelands of the Western Cape in South Africa. Now known as the gourmet capital of South Africa, it is a firm favourite for those visitors to Cape Town who expect nothing but the best. A comfortable fifty minute drive from Cape Town city centre allows one to enjoy lunch or dinner in one of the many award winning wine farms or the magnificent restaurants in the town itself. This coupled with a visit to The Old Corkscrew has become a highlight for many of our local and international visitors.

Due to its location in this wine producing area, many wine related antiques can be found, including Africa's largest collection of antique corkscrews. Also included is a large selection of silver, as well as porcelain, glass, copper and furniture. The shop is open 7 days a week and during holidays by appointment.
