Edwardian silver vesta case marked for Birmingham 1902 with Trinadad interest by Horton & Allday.

Inscribed on the reverse:
‘TUCUTCHE
3100 FEET.
18 October 1901

Dimensions: 5.5 cm high by 4 cm wide by 1.1 cm deep.

Weight: 40 grams gross.

Tucutche is the second highest peak in Trinidad’s Northern Range.

‘Miscerique probat populus foedera jungi’- The old motto of Trinidad and Tobago as endowed by Sir Ralph Abercrombie which means ‘He approves of the mingling of the peoples and their bonds of union’
