Eric Clements designed this service for Mappin & Webb in 1960. Made by Elkington & Co they are more often seen in silver plate. This design is illustrated on page 131 of ‘Designer British Silver from studios established 1930-1985’ by John Andrew and Derek Styles. A four piece set in silver plate is currently on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
