An English all steel gold painted compound concertina type corkscrew, marked on both sides “PATENT” on the top arm, “WEIR’S PATENT 12804 25 SEPTR 1884” and “HEELEY & SON’S MAKERS” on the lowest arm. This was Marshal Arthur Weir’s Version 1, 1884 British Patent. Perfect helical worm. Circa 1890.
