An English steel ‘King’s’ corkscrew with a turned bone handle incorporating a dusting brush and hanging ring. The bone handle turns the worm into the cork and once fully pierced the ratchet wheel set in the shoulder of the main frame is turned with the steel raising handle removing the cork. This example stamped ‘COLEMAN 4 HAY MARKET’ on the barrel. Perfect helical worm. Circa 1820.
