A 19th century Dutch silver ‘Knipkoker’ with an oval seal engraved with a crest on the base and the other end with an octagonal seal-engraved coat of arms. Marked to the inside with 3 marks (unidentified) and having later Dutch ZII duty mark for ‘835’ silver used from 1953 onwards.
Note: A ‘Knipkoker’ is a Penner/ Bodkin case used for holding cut quills and wax for use with the seal & coat of arms.
Dimensions: 9.7 cm long by 2.2 cm across the top seal by 2.04 cm wide. The oval seal is 2.2 cm high by 1.93 cm wide.
