Victorian electroformed silver claret jug from a piece designed by Francois Briot circa 1550- 1616 made by Elkington & Co Ltd and hallmarked for London 1867.
An identical example but in electroplate- silver over a body of copper, can be found in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London- pictured.
