An English brass corkscrew of Bivalent shaft and crab piece type, known as ‘The King’. This example is marked “THE KING” on one side of the frame. This patent was granted in 1904 to Frederick Sunderland and John Cox of Birmingham trading as Coney and Company who manufactured them. Perfect bladed worm. Circa 1915.
