An early ‘HAFF’ straight pull corkscrew marked on the band “PATENT APPLIED FOR”. Edward P. Haff of Brooklyn New York took out patents for a variety of methods of attaching shanks to handles between 1884 and 1885. Perfect helical worm. Circa 1884.
