A steel open frame corkscrew known as the ‘London Rack’. A turned wood handle surmounting a free turning racking shaft. Once the cork is fully pierced the ratchet wheel set in the shoulder of the main frame is turned with the steel raising handle removing the cork. Perfect bladed worm. Circa 1880.
