An English brass sliding frame corkscrew. The simple open frame mounted on the shank allows for centering the perfect bladed worm. This example is marked “EXCELSIOR” on the top of the frame. It is further marked “J H COX MAKER” on one side of the frame and “DITCHINGHAM ST SHEFFIELD” on the other side. Circa 1900.
