An English cast brass single sided corkscrew depicting Stephenson’s Rocket, an early steam powered locomotive built in 1829. This example marked ‘THE ROCKET BUILT 1829’ and ‘GEORGE STEPHENSON’. It is further marked ‘PAT APPLIED FOR’ on the back. Currently no known registration details have been found for this design. Perfect square wire helical worm. Circa 1930.
