A rare German corkscrew with wood handle having a hanging ring. A cone shaped coiled spring barrel is mounted on the threaded shaft and once the cork is withdrawn from the bottle, the handle is turned counterclockwise to remove the cork from the perfect centre cut worm. This was a German registered design No. 65,555 granted to Georg Giessler on October the 14th 1896.
