This example is marked on the top on both sides of the arms “TYR” and “BTE SGDG” (Brevette Sans Garantie Du Gouvernment – which means that it was patented without guarantee from the government). This corkscrew was patented by Mme. Veuve Paraf, patent number 675,979 November 18 1929. It carries an advert for “CHAMPAGNE VVE A. DEVAUX EPERNAY”. Perfect bladed worm.
